Work it Out

Work is movement. Don't be inert. Just move. Even rich people work - most of them anyway. Paloma Picasso may not need the money but she has worked practically all her life - she needs to work. She will forever be known as the daughter of the famous painter but she works anyway. She does not paint - she designs stuff like jewelry and perfumes and fashion accessories. Learn from her example. She's fifty nine and still working.

Hemlines

Here is proof that the economy is (or will shortly be) improving. This is not a supermodel who is being paid to wear the high hemline. She is just an average woman (no, not my next door neighbor) who is confident about the economy. I bet you she isn't even worried about job security. She has a penthouse on the third floor. Cool.

Beauty

Is there such a thing as just posting a photo without a blog? Or is a blog necessary? Writing can be redundant if you have a picture that speaks for itself, no? On the other hand, if the picture needs to be explained, well, how else to explain it than with words? I cannot make up my mind about this one - does it need any explanation? I don't think so, even though this beautiful woman can probably not be identified by anyone.

Why use cosmetics

Cosmetics sell well - mostly to women. I think we have gotten used to seeing women wearing cosmetics, whether high-end, top of the line from Nordstrom, or just the affordable essentials from K-Mart. Tabloids will sometimes show pictures of movie stars wearing no cosmetics and we go into shock. I think we could easily get adjusted to seeing women without cosmetics but the industry will simply not allow that to happen - ever. What would happen to Avon, Mary Kay, L'Oreal, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Cover Girl, Bobbi Brown, Max Factor, Maybelline, Clinique, Lancome, Lisa Hoffman, and a hundred others? These are huge businesses. Don't even think about it. Though I (and the vast majority of men) can appreciate a woman either way, cosmetics are here to stay.
