Getting Old is BAD

Don't listen to anyone who says old age can be fun. It is absolutely not true. They should not be called the golden years - they should be called the rusted years. Even if you're in good health, at age 75, you always know in the back of your mind that as soon as you're gone, no matter how GREAT you were, NOBODY will remember anything you did.  Of all the billions of people who ever lived, not even one tenth of one tenth of one tenth of one tenth of one percent are still regularly talked about - perhaps one hundred historical figures in various fields: science, art, politics. You cannot enjoy anything when you're dead and you KNOW you'll be dead soon. People treat you with respect but only out of respect, not genuine interest. You are basically shoved aside. You become obsolete in front of your very eyes. You also look horrible - wrinkly and crooked. If you get sick, things are only worse. You spend a lot of time just worrying about whether you'll get sicker. You get depressed easily. You spend too much time with doctors, looking for a cure for the incurable. The only good thing about growing really old is that you might get to see a lot of your friends die before you do. That's it. Then, it's your turn. Death is NOT normal and it is never fun. Old people know all of this but they just pretend things are ok and that they are fine with old age. They are NOT. Getting old is bad - really bad. Let us not pretend otherwise. It is a CURSE but people just insist on looking on the bright side.  In this case, there isn't any. hahaha

Politics

Politicians are people too. They may start out by trying to do good for the people they govern but eventually get taken over by ego and greed and dishonesty and special interests. There is no such thing as an incorruptible man or woman - Republican, Democrat, or Independent.

Geiger counter

Do you believe this? “Right now, there are only 10 stocks worth trading. Just ten. out of 5,600 stocks. That's because the rules of money are changing. And the only companies worth looking at are the ones that are following the new rules. Investment Director Keith Fitz-Gerald knows the only 10 stocks you should invest in right now. He's developed a proprietary system that reveals their future price movements-right down to the penny - with a 95% accuracy rating. It's called The Geiger Index. Keith has spent more than 10 years perfecting this technique, and now he wants to share it with you. To find out how you can use it to your full advantage, take a look at the below report.” Baloney. If he knew that much, he would be Warren Buffet. He makes money selling the report, not buying stocks. PLEASE. The girl at left is saying something like "Convince me."

Beauty

Is there such a thing as just posting a photo without a blog? Or is a blog necessary? Writing can be redundant if you have a picture that speaks for itself, no? On the other hand, if the picture needs to be explained, well, how else to explain it than with words? I cannot make up my mind about this one - does it need any explanation? I don't think so, even though this beautiful woman can probably not be identified by anyone.

Dating

Ladies and gentlemen, what do I know about dating? Nothing. A friend once asked me why I was so popular with the ladies. I told him it was because the word had gotten around that I always paid. He always had a hard time finding women to date so he wanted to know where I found my dates. I told him the story of Billy the Kid. A sherriff once asked Billy the Kid why he robbed banks. Billy supposedly said, "because that's where the money's at." If you want to find a nice girl to date, go wherever nice girls hang out. It's not rocket science. Use a dating service if you must. Advertise. Go online. Use Eharmony or Match or Singlesnet or whatever you want. There are so many. Your life is made up of a lot of coincidences. If you sit in a comfortable chair in your house all day long, I guarantee that the chances for any coincidence - whether a happy one or a misfortune - will be nil. You must mingle and you must blend. Make contact. Create a rolodex. Then, you must enjoy your everday life. Stop pretending. Get the chip off your shoulder. Be real. Be yourself. Be content. Be sincere. Let go of any bad experiences in your past. Nothing is perfect. Nobody is perfect. Be grateful you're not dead.
